Pope Pavli II, on Christmas Eve of 1466, received at the Holy See George Kastrioti Scanderbeg. Our National hero was in Italy to ask for aid and support in the fight against Ottoman invasions in Balkans. The Holy Father donated to Skanderbeg a sword and a hat. These gifts that once belonged to our national hero were owned by Earl Wolfgang Sturbengut, and now they are located in Historical Museum of Art in Vienna.
