On January 23rd, 1894, was born Rosalino Petrota, publicist and Arbëresh historian. He was graduated in medicine but became known for the creativity dedicated to Albania and the Albanian people. He published “Rosenja italo Albaneze” in Arbëria language, Italian and French languages, as well as “Konaket italo-albaneze”. We face his name on the page the Albanian and Italian press of the time. He wrote the books “Arbëreshë in Sicilia” and “Guida ilustrata di Pianadegli Greci”. Rosalino Petrota has given a great contribution for the establishment of “the International Center of the Albanological Studies” in Palermo.
