In April 1453, the major Turkish forces under the command of Ibrahim Bey, came to the borders of Albania. In front of them came the units of the Albanian Army, led by George Castriot Scanderbeg. In the battle that took place in the area of Polog, between Debar and Tetovo, the Ottoman forces were defeated and withdrew.
