In a protest organized in Martyrs of the Nation Boulevard on January 21st, 2011, the situation escalated up to the usage of firearms. Four protesters were murdered. This stayed long on the political discourse of Albania. For the families of the victims of this grave incident, the responsible persons were not fairly sentenced by Albanian justice.
