1942 – In Washington, the White House announces that the Pact against the Central Powers was signed by 26 countries. But neither Ethiopia nor Albania, occupied by Italy, member of Axis, were not invited to sign the document. President Roosevelt said to Churchill: “Winston, we have forgotten king Zog”. However, King Zog did not hesitate, and telegraphed Roosevelt that Albania unequivocally joins to the Washington Declaration.
