On March 19th, 1703, was born the Venetian painter Felice Skavioni, the author of many compositions with historical theme. Inspired by the remarkable friendship with the intellectual Albanian Gjika Elena, otherwise known as Dora d’Istria in the world, he held several tableaus with Albanian theme “Albanian Officer”, “Albanian janissaries”, etc. A special place in his works with Albanian theme has the portrait of Elena Gjika.
