On July 19, 1691, war broke out between the mountaineers of Piprit and Palbardh, against Ottoman invaders. After Sulejman Pasha’s failure to make for gifts and rankings, highland leaders, he led numerous forces against them. The highlanders headed for the field and the battle lasted four hours. The invaders broke and were pursued, from highlanders to command tents. The Ottomans left the battlefield, over 90 killed and a large number of injuries. Among the dead, there were also five sailboats or flamurites. Their flags and armaments were taken over by the highlanders. Sulejman Pasha, undertook two more attacks against highlanders but without success.
