On February 16th, 1918 the command of the French invading troops in Korca, placed the province under its military command, reversing the Protocol of December 10th, 1916. In this way finished the autonomy of Korça. However some of the achieved victories of the patriots from Korça, were not liquidated. The Albanian flag continued to flutter alongside the French flag, and the Albanian schools also continued to function.
