The Prophet Muhammad and his Muslim followers, on July 16, 622, moved from Mecca to Medina. This important event for the Muslim world marks the beginning of the new era, the era of “lunatic emigration” and the new Muslim calendar, used today in the Arab world. This calendar was used by us during the Turkish invasion.
