Elbasan’s “Skampa” Professional Theater was founded on July 16, 1962. The first actor core was selected by amateur theater, which was quite developed. Thus, in the professional body, Skender Hoxha, Haxhi Sejko, Thanas Borodani, Hysni Hatibi, Demir Hyskja, Antoneta Kristo were involved. The first director of the troupe was Lec Shllaku.
