On February 15th, 1870 in Prizren of Kosovo, was born Lazer Lumezi, known by the Albanian people as Albanian Lazer, a great activists of spreading the secular education in Kosovo, Albanian language Methodist, author of many textbooks. He began his pedagogical career in 1891 in the first Albanian school of Prizren that was opened 1889. He fought for the spread of the Albanian alphabet and for the establishment of Albanian school; he was one of the initiators and active members of the society “Besa-Bese” of Peja. He has left some textbooks and Albanian language manual for teachers and students.
