In Stockholm, on April 13th, 1997, began the folk festival “World in Sweden”, attended by 60 groups from Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Balkans. For the first time, was presented the music and Albanian folklore. In the Swedish capital danced the dancers of folkloric school “Shota” and the band “Skanderbeg”. 16 girls directed by the choreographer Bishim Isufi, danced Albanian folk dance. With interest, were attended the popular songs of Afërdita Abdyl, Mevlude Mehmeti and the rhapsodies of Skender Berisha.
