On June 11, 1869, Karl Tomsoni was born, a Dutch military officer who served and died in Albania. He came commanded in our country in November 1913 and prepared a study on the organization of the Albanian Army. Organized the gendarmerie in Vlora and established order and tranquility in the country. Prince Vidi, in May 1914, appointed him as head of the army. He ruled the law, restricting and disciplining, and foreigners circulating without any restriction prepared a plan to suppress rebellion in Middle Albania and in the battle that took place at the Dajlan Bridge, was killed. Together with him, fell 15 other martyrs.
