10 April 1833, broke out in the bazaar of Shkodra an armed revolt against the Ottoman invaders

On April 10th, 1833, in the market of Shkodra, broke out an armed revolt against the Ottoman invaders. About 4,000 citizens and armed highlanders clashed with the Turkish forces. The revolt continued in 1834. The leaders of the uprising, tried to create the connections and join forces with other Albanian insurgents in southern areas of the country. They also drafted the plans for military interactions in Berat, Kavaja, Tirana, Shkodra and Mirdita, but many Turkish forces in May 1838, suppressed the revolt.
