The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted on 10 July 1995 the accession of the Republic of Albania to the Council of Europe. The reception ceremony was held on July 13, when the Albanian flag was set up next to 35 other European flags, occupying the alphabetical rank, the first place.
