Today, the Albanian World celebrates the birth anniversary of our immortal encyclopaedist, Sami Frashëri. He was born in Frashër of Përmet on June 1st, 1850. He has left over 57 works in Albanian, Turkish and Arabic. He is the author of the Encyclopedia of the Ottoman Empire, a unique case in the world. His personal library had over 20 thousand volumes.
