The Albanian literary world today commemorates the death of the poet Fahredin Gunga from Kosovo. He was born in Mitrovica in 1936. He did the primary and secondary school in his hometown; he graduated at the University of Belgrade. He began his career as a teacher in the high school in Mitrovica. Later he worked as an editor in “Rilindja” newspaper and in the publishing house of Pristina than as chief editor in the Television of Pristine. He published the first poem, in 1954, in the journal “Jeta e re”. Later the poet firm was founded more often in the media of Pristine and Skopje. In 1961, was published the first poetic compilation of Fahredin Gunga, “Pëshpëritjet e mëngjesit”, followed by “Mallkimet e fjetuna”, “Kepi i Shpresës së Mirë”, “Psallmet e ngurta”, “Nokturnë për Orkiden”, “Mallkimet e zgjuan”, etc. He is the author of the summary of Faik Konica work in two volumes. He died on April 1st, 1997.
