On May 26th, 1937, come to Tirana for a short visit the French-made sculptor Albert Ponc and the literary critic of Le Temps. The sculptor took with him the memorial of Skanderbeg, to participate in the announced competition, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of Albania.
