At the beginning of May 1906, near Leskovik, took place the first battles between the armed guards of Albanian patriots and Ottoman military forces. With the campaign for the suppression of the liberation movement, were joined Greek chauvinists, adding terror not only to Albanian patriots but also against the civilian population.
