Most of its professors and teachers were local, who had studied in European universities. They drafted the textbooks that were published in the Voskopoja printing, one of the rarest in the entire Ottoman Empire. Voskopoja and “its new Academy” remained one of the most important centres of the development of art and the Albanian medieval culture.
