Jeronim De Rada, the oldest Albanian publicist, on February 23rd, 1848, published in Naples of Italy, the first Albanian newspaper “L’Albanese d’Italia” (Albanian of Italy). With this he founded the first steps of the national press. Also in 1883 he published the first magazine in Albanian language, ” Flamuri i Arbërit “.
