On January 4th, 1841, was born Hodo Sokoli, a known activist of the League of Prizren, chairman of the branch of the League for the Protection of Shkodra.In protest against the decision of the Sublime Porte to submit Montenegro, Hoti and Gruda, he demonstratively stripped the uniform of Colonel of the Turkish gendarmerie and from April to July 1880, he led the fighting to protect Albanian territories. After the fall of Ulcinj, in Montenegro’s hands, Hodo Sokoli was arrested and exiled in Anatolia from where he didn’t returned.
