Today is commemorated the engineer, a graduate of Polytechnic Institute of Paris, Faredin Nuri. When he came back from France, a young engineer, who was graduated with excellent results with the French government scholarship, was hired in Cadastre on the Municipality of Fier. Just after the liberation, he developed an intense activity by carrying out the reclamation of the swamp of Tërbufit, of the Field of Mamurras, conducting the canal Vjosë-Levan-Fier, Berat Osum dam, the dam of Vlashuku of Cangelajt and many other works. He died honored and respected on November 16th, 1984.
