Teacher, journalist and publicist Anastas Byku, on August 6, 1878, published the first issue of the newspaper “Pellazgu Promete”, which draws the attention of progressive opinion about the threat that threatened Albania and the readiness of the Albanian people to fight for the liberation of the country . This newspaper co-operated with some of the most renowned figures of the National Renaissance. “Pellazgu Promete” fought for the unity of the Albanian people, against religious and provincial divisions.
