On April 9th, 1939, the Italian fascist armies invaded Shkodra and Gjirokastra. The fascist occupation of Albania on Friday on April 7th, 1939 was the logical conclusion of the anti-national and pro-fascist policy of Ahmet Zogu, but at the same time was the result of the betrayal of the political class. 7 April 1939, remains a great lesson, not only for Albanians but also for the diplomacy of “non-intervention”; the sacrifice of the Spanish Republic, Albanian and then Czechoslovakia, represents not only the complete defeat of this diplomacy, but also the beginning of the global carnage, which caused so much misery for the humanity.
