On March 9th, 1937, the press of the capital based on the “Law of the press”, that had established the censorship on publications, asked the “establishing of control over the films with cowboys” that preach and propagate violence, on the “immoral” film that can lead to the unraveling of the society and especially the younger generation and family. The press emphasized the need for a law that would regulate and control the Albanian screen.
