Ten main political parties before the catastrophic situation of the country were gathered, on March 9th, 1997 in the Presidency, for finding a political solution to the crisis. It was requested the resignation of Meksi Government and the establishment of a coalition government with the participation of 10 political parties to the table. That day the parties signed the Declaration of the National Reconciliation.
