Today the musical world commemorates the death anniversary of the great Italian composer Gaetano Donizete, which has left more than 70 operas, among other compositions. The rich compositions of Donizetti are presented in the Albanian opera stage with the opera “Don Pasquale” with conductor John Simon. Its premiere was one of the first works of Opera and Ballet in Tirana, shown in 1959. But the great Italian composer is connected with the Albanian world by the close cooperation he had with the arbëresh librettist Gjon Emanuel Bidera.
