Among the Albanian insurgents, led by Isa Boletini and Ottoman armies, commanded by General Shefqet Turgut Pasha, on May 8th, 1910, took place the battle of Carralaves. Twenty thousand Turkish soldiers were encountered with eight thousand Albanian warriors of freedom. After three days of fighting, the Turks were able to surround the rebels, but they broke the siege and retreated to Drenica. There were many killed and injured on both sides.
