Oil Engineer and Senior Scientific Associate Rexhep Reka was born in Tirana on September 4, 1927. After graduating from the Moscow Oil Institute, he began his career as an engineer and then chief engineer at the Oil Company in Patos, Kuçova and Marinza. Successful also in the field of study and teaching; directed the Oil and Gas Institute in Kuçova, the General Directorate of Oil in Fier, the Oil Directorate in the Ministry and the Committee of Science and Technique. As a lecturer and dean, he has educated generations of engineers and has prepared textbooks that are still in use today.
