Iconographer Kostandin Shpataraku, mentioned in the Codex of the Church of St. Colin in Elbasan, on May 31, 1759, for the decoration of this shrine, an important monument of our medieval culture and art. The painter also realized frescoes in the church of St. Peter in Vithkuq, in the church of the Ardenica monastery in Fier, in Cikallesh of Kavaja, in the church of St. Prokop in Verdia of Pogradec, etc. Kostandin Shpataraku, has left many icons of great spiritual and artistic value. The earliest of them, dates back to 1736, while his masterpiece is considered the icon of St. John Vladimir. Some of his iconographic works are preserved in the Korca Medieval Art Museum.
