The Duke Montpensier, the heir prince of the Royal House of Bourbons on March 28th, 1913, attacked the Greek blockade, came in Vlora and raised the Albanian flag on his yacht to greet the temporary capital of the free Albania. He was greeted with honors by the government of Ismail Qemali and local residents. He was accompanied by Gjika prince and some other Albanians. As is known, the sucker of the well-known Albanian-Romanian family Gjika, was one of the contenders for the throne of Albania, but was not accepted by the Provisional Government of Vlora.
