Today is commemorated the death anniversary of the American well-known poet Henry Longfellow, the author of the poem “Skanderbeg”, dedicated to the national hero. The poem was albanianized by Fan Noli and was published in Boston, in 1916. Based on this work, in 1938, at the age of 56 years, Noli composed the symphonic poem “Skanderbeg that was performed by the Symphonic Orchestra of Boston Conservatory.
