On January 17th, 1968, on the occasion of 500 anniversary of the death of Scanderbeg, the Theater of Opera and Ballet in Tirana, displayed the premiere of the opera “George Castriot Scanderbeg” of Prenk Jakova and libretto by Llazar Siliqi. On that day the Palace of Culture “Aleksander Moisiu” in Durres, prepared and displayed the opera “The sons of Skanderbeg” of Abdulla Grimçi with libretto of Matish Gjeluci.
