The Arberesh playwright and poet from the region of Zara in Dalmatia, Josif Rela was born on April 16th, 1895. From him are published some drama, comedy and poetry with patriotic and social themes. They are all written in Arbëresh dialect. “Nika” is the most remarkable work of Josif Rela. It treats the subject of Zara Arbëresh people migration from Albania in the eighteenth century.
