The Albanian medicine today reminds the bacteriologist doctor and one of the first leaders of the Albanian medical system, Refat Frashëri. He was graduated at Istanbul University, where he began his medical career and educational. For his patriotic activity was excluded from work as a professor and doctor and was forced to exercise private medicine in different parts of the Ottoman Empire. After the First World War, returned home and Lushnja Congress appoints him General Director of l Health, which was the highest position in the health pyramid. Refat Frashëri died on November 15th, 1934.
