On December 14th, 1447, in the letter that Alfons V, King of Naples, sent to Skanderbeg, expressed his willingness to assist in the fight against the Ottomans. They had exchanged ambassadors, since in early 1447, while the correspondence was the conclusion of the alliance, between the State of Arber that was establishing Skanderbeg and the Kingdom of Naples.
