Më 13 Shkurt 1944, pushtuesit nazistë filluan operacionin “Pik” në Malësinë e Gjakovës. Morën pjesë rreth 5000 ushtarë të Vermahtit dhe mercenarë. Operacioni drejtohej kundër bazës së Lëvizjes Nacionalçlirimtare të Tropojës, e cila luante një rol të rëndësishëm për të gjithë Veriun dhe Kosovën.

On February 13th, 1944 the Nazi occupiers began the operation “Pik” in the Highlands of Gjakova. It was attended by about 5,000 Wehrmacht soldiers and mercenaries. The operation was directed against the base of the National Liberation Movement of Tropoja, which play an important role for all North and Kosovo.
