The arbëresh scholar and folklorist Dhimitër Kamarda, passed away on April 13th 1882. He is the author of ” Sprovë e gramatologjisë krahasuese mbi gjuhën shqipe “. This is the first Albanian scientific work that treats our language, in the historic comparative plan. Later, Kamarda published “Shtojcë sprovës së gramatologjisë krahasuese mbi gjuhën shqipe “, where among others, is included an anthology of Albanian folk poetry. With same values, is also the volume ” Alfabeti i përgjithshëm i shqipes “, published in 1870. His Authorship holds the poetry compilation entitled, “Dora d’Istries-shqiptarët “. His manuscript also has, ”Gramatika e shqipes”. With the patriotic activity and his works, the arbëresh patriot, has brought valuable services to our national culture and language.
