On March 11th, 1923, the teachers and students from Korca, joined the “demonstration of bread” of their fellow citizens. The difficult economic situation and famine that had plagued the city, forced the teachers and their students to be part of this protest. Their struggle was part of a movement that had occupied the country for economic rights and a higher level of living.
