In Shkodra, on February 11th, 1949, was inaugurated the Historical Museum of the city. His 683 items were taken from the two museums of the Catholic clergy. Many other objects, mainly those of ethnographic character, were collected through the confiscation of the state authorities. Today the museum reflects the material culture of the city since the Stone Age until the middle Ages. There are valuable objects worked in stone, metal and ceramics. Scientifically it reflects the ethno-cultural continuity of the Albanian people.
