Ali Pasha Tepelena, on May 10, 1819, took the town of Parga without a war. With the permission of the High Gate, he paid to its inhabitants, who left him not to fall into his hands, 150,000 pounds sterling for his immovable property, who abandoned him and ultimately took possession of the city.
