Byzantine Emperors of Illyrian origin
On October 1st, 1288, Byzantine Emperor Androniku II Paleologu, with Arbëria origin, reaffirmed people from Kruja, the old privileges as the inviolability, security and freedom. With the emperor decree the goods they exported and imported through the harbor of Durres, were excluded from custom tariffs.
