The Italian Government on April 1st, 1933 interrupted to Tirana the payment of the loan and this reflected the bankrupt economic situation of Albania of that time and the full economic and financial dependence from Italy. The government was unable to cover the costs for the bureaucratic and military apparatus, to pay the salaries of the officers. Immediately fell the purchasing power, were increased the prices, poverty and famine gripped the entire country.
