Osman Haxhija
On September 1884, was born the democrat patriot and the warrior of freedom Osman Haxhija. He took the first lessons in Vlora and finished high school in Istanbul, when he acquainted our patriots and finished some patriotic activities in his country. For this reason he was exiled in Saudi Arabia. After his escape, he participated in the Assemble of Vlora and in the government of Ismail Qemali. Osman Haxhija was an organizer and leader in the War of Vlora, in 1920.
